The Centennial Renaissance Annual Giving Campaign

Gifts that Go to Immediate Needs

The Centennial Renaissance Annual Giving Campaign raises funds from alumni and friends of USAO and is the single most important campaign during the school year.

This fundraiser campaign is an annual, multifaceted donation solicitation that relies heavily on direct mail. It begins in the fall with a follow-up mailing in the spring.

When you invest in USAO's educational future with an “unrestricted” donation, your gift goes where the need is greatest.

Donations that are not restricted to specific academic projects or endowments play a vital part in maintaining day-to-day university operations. Robust unrestricted giving through the Centennial Renaissance Annual Giving Campaign assures that scholarships and vital services remain strong. This is particularly important during this era of cuts in state education allocations. The USAO College Fund receives all undesignated gifts. The 2002-2003 Campaign goal of $250,000 was exceeded by $23,366, or more than 9%. View the latest Annual Giving Brochure.

Matching Gift Programs

Matching Gifts Double Your Money!

Wouldn’t it be nice if your employer matched your donation to USAO? Many will! An effective way to double (or even triple) your cash gift is to participate in an employer Matching Gift Program.

Nearly 1,000 corporations (or parent companies) have matching gift programs to institutions of higher learning like USAO.

Click here and then enter your employer (or former employer) name. Click on “submit” to view detailed information on your employer matching gift program. Be patient, the Matching Gift Program Company Search may take a few seconds to appear.

Gift Clubs

USAO Gift Clubs Recognize Your Generosity.  All donors to USAO are valued and appreciated. If USAO is to realize its great expectations, gifts from the private sector must continue…and increase!

By making a university tax deductible cash gift – at whatever level – you qualify for inclusion in the USAO nonprofit Foundation Annual Report in one of twelve gift clubs.

USAO Foundation Gift Clubs:

President’s Circle @ $250,000 and above

Centennial Circle @ $100,000 and above

Benefactor’s Circle @ $50,000 and above

Heritage Circle @ $25,000 and above

Renaissance Club @ $10,000 and above

Pentagon Club @ $5,000 and above

Cornerstone Club @ $2,500 and above

Oval Club @ $1,000 and above

Investors @ $500 and above

Partners @ $250 and above

Associates @ $100 and above

Friends @ up to $99

Two additional gift clubs identify and recognize academic donors whose cumulative giving is substantial:

  • The Green & Gold Club recognizes generous friends whose cumulative giving is $25,000 or more. With permission from the donor(s), a photograph of the donor(s) and a short inscription will be placed in the Green & Gold Gallery in the Student Center.

  • The Legacy Club recognizes generous supporters whose cumulative giving is $100,000 or more. Again, with permission from the donor(s), a permanent, bronze recognition plaque and inscription will be placed strategically on the campus. Donors may “graduate” from the Green & Gold Club to The Legacy Club as their cumulative giving grows.

USAO recognizes two categories of donors in the USAO Foundation’s Annual Report who have made gifts-in-kind or gifts of tangible property:

  • In-Kind Patrons are recognized for their gifts valued at up to $4,999.

  • In-Kind Angels are recognized for their gifts valued at over $5,000.
